Well technically we cant watch saturday games anymore since nothing on cbc anymore nor am I paying 35 bucks a month fir sportsnet which half the leaf games of that month are blacked out regionally which is crazy cause im paying 35 bucks just to see them it sucks

I was very disappointed because I thought this year I might be able to go back to Denver to watch the leafs play but the website they sell tickets on says that only one percent of the tickets are still available and the cheapest ones are over 500 bucks
Sadly (….:or not depending on how they play this year), since CBC Hockey Night In Canada is no longer on TV, I will be watching a lot less NHL Hockey this coming season. I absolutely REFUSE to buy a Sportsnet (Rogers) subscription. So, LESS fans watching hockey…..is that what you really want NHL?? I have a feeling I’m not the only person with this attitude in Canada.
No more hockey day in Canada … no more CBC … no more values… NHL is now the USAHL

It is special to have a game every (almost) Saturday? For the habs it’s the norm as far as I can remember.
Is it me or is it kinda odd that there is an 8 week period between January and March where the leafs are not home on a Saturday night?
Are all 9 Wednesday games only broadcast on TSN aka blacked out on cable and the reason I have to pay for Sportsnet+ Premium?
thats a rough 9 game road streach..you know the leafs are taking a few loses there. especially towards end of it..good to know..thx steve..84 games is odd change from 82..but w/e..thats gunna take me some time to get used to..

2 afternoon games makes sense. One always seemed to be around March break or family day. Dollars to donuts Rogers wanted it gone because the TV ratings sucked. I'm so livid at that company right now.
I'm going to commit. Now. I will not watch any games on sportsnet on my own TV until after Christmas … if they're lucky. (I may go to a bar. I will listen on the radio. But I will not watch a game on sportsnet until after December 25th, 2026. And I don't have Amazon either.)

Saw my first Leaf game last year in Raleigh. Grew up in South Dakota, and started folowing Leafs in late 90s. I now live 3 hours away from Raleigh in Vrginia. Im thrilled that the Leafs have 2 games in Raleigh this year, and they are Friday/Saturday games. Ill be at both. Yes, I'm only an hour from DC, but have no desire to A) see the capitals, and B) fight 95 traffic to get to DC. Go Leafs Go! Was shocked to see so many road Saturday games.
March 13 separates us. Then again, I'm not really a leafs fan, I just like your ramblin' about 'em. Go SHARKS in the west, Panthers in the east
The Leafs consistently get the worst schedule in the league. Longest road trip. Most back to backs. Just screwed as much as possible.

the afternoon game thing is definitely odd. for reference the Canes have 7 home games with a puck drop of 5 or earlier. good for people with kids and on Sundays people who commute into games. also I can go to a game then get home and watch 2 more which is just great. Leafs definitely should have more than 1

I loved the afternoon games when I lived in Calgary and had season tickets and young children so Im with you Steve.
They better be more interested in getting a real team together than when and where they play.
They have no right winger for the Matthews line , three top 6 centers ( so either Knies Cowan or McKenna have to sit in press box ) speaking of press box. You have Reillys 7.5 mil and Andreas 1.55 mil in the press as well.
Then you have another 10 centers competing for the last 2 lines. Very short on bottom 6 wingers.
Still need another top 6 dman ( but a few guys on the Marlies could make that ) no physical forwards for the third line. And qfyer giving up last seasons third best goalie in the nhl they have 2 aging injury prone goalies. Hate to say this but I’m seeing a 12-72 record
