@harrison, the way I see it, a return package should include the following: at least 1 roster forward; 1 top tier defensive prospect; a first round pick (2027 or 2028); and UPL. Jets dont "need" UPL so taking him in return helps Buff with their cap and fit Helly in thereby increasing the value coming back to Jets. The roster forward should be one of Kulich/Ostlund/Helenuis, preferrably the more durable of those three, and Buff cant really play all those young forwards against a physical Atlantic Div, imagine them getting pushed around by the Panthers ? Dman prospect – Mrtka or one of the other big righties (ie Kleber) they have in their system. I suspect Rudolph is their most untouchable prospect so he's out. If no UPL coming back then a proven 2nd roster forward comes back (ie quinn or mcleod). Thats essentially 3 unproven assets and one proven forward for an uber proven/decorated goaltender. All this talk about goalies not fetching as big returns is nonesense, there's never been a goalie of this stature traded. Tkachuk and Hughes both brought back 4 assets and both only had 2 years under contract remaining.
