If the Stars and Robertson's camp have not agreed on a number yet, what is going to change in the next year that will bring them together? It seems like Robertson is holding all the cards here.
Kinda weird that Rantanen ended up getting shipped out of Colorado because they didn't want to pay anyone more than MacKinnon, and now Robertson can't get a deal from Dallas because they don't want to pay anyone more than Rantanen. With a rising cap you're guaranteeing that you're going to lose players with that philosophy.

Stars generational player is Wyatt Johnson. More goals than Robo over last 3 seasons combined. And plays excellent defense
Stars and Robo should move on. Fans don't even appreciate him and Nil pooched the cap management. Stars get what can, Robo get what you are worth according to the market.
NMC should be determinated if player wants out.
Believe he wants to stay but Dallas can't afford him. This is just an extra prove it year while they shuffle cap around and benefit off another year of the cap going up.
I feel like he gave Dallas a discount the first time, when other young players (Toronto?) were getting the max. And even then they threw money at him right at the start of the season.
This time they aren’t showing any appreciation either. This is a homegrown player and again you’re basically saying ‘walk’. That you value Rantanen more.

The reason the Stars aren't wanting to pay Robertson is because they literally can't. They have 10 million in cap space and he is wanting 14. They are going to have to make the team significantly worse and less experienced to keep his greedy ass. They already have by getting rid of Bourque. They let go of Mason Marchment last year for nothing, to clear up cap space for Robertson too. These athletes need to slow their roll. Pretty soon hockey tickets are going to be $500 because of this crap.
