Especially if this team is not ready to be a serious contender next year . Also on defense give Matthew Robertson & Drew Fortescue a=nd Scott Morrow a chance to earn a top 6 role.

   Enough with Drury wasting cap space on marginal veterans who don't really move the needle or bring leadership. It's enough we are stuck with JT Miller as captain . Top six should be Dorofoyev, Zibanajad , Lafreniere , Perrault, Miller and Cuylle . Third line of Laba , Raddysh and Sykora . Fourth line Velano , Chemelar and insert or bounce Sykora to 4th line if they acquire a Frank Vatrano or a Prospect .. Matt Rempe ???

8. Vatrano can still play. No Kane, No Tarasenko, they’re rebuilding the team with players under 28 that can still skate, you don’t want to go backwards they should go forward and build for the future and stop giving other teams a consistent player.

10. if Vatrano is interested in coming back …. YES! but who/what are the Rangers in return??? Make an offer for Vatrano and Sennecke for a package including Schneider, Kartye & Prospects. Ducks will not be able to afford Sennecke. But keep in mind, that in order to sign youngsters to a brdige deal, some may have to go and Drury will need to make room via trades (Miller-Laffy or Fox). Also will need to make room for Greentree and Smits when they get called up form Hartford.

13. They have more Cap space than what is listed on Puck Pedia as they don't NEED to have 23 players on the Roster. Many teams go with 21 during the season AND now that Braden Schneider has signed they may still move him. Rather than signing someone like Patrick Kane, who does not help the teams' 5 on 5 metrics, guessing they are monitoring situations like Anaheims (teams with Cap issues) to see how they can improve AND receive draft currency

14. I don’t really see them signing anyone else since they have 22/23 contract slots filled and $2.4M in cap space which accumulates to $10M at the deadline. Having $10M at the deadline and roster flexibility to promote Greentree or another young winger is worth more than what Kane, Tarasenko, or or Laine bring to the table

16. Somebody please explain to me why drury would go out and get a back up goalie which costs 3 million when we have dylan garand who i thought did a good job last season. We could have over 5 million in cap space and could of gotten a top 6 forward. Frank vatrano and eeli tolvanen would be good options but team has no cap space.

    Tolvanen and Laine. Laine at like 2m for 1y is a no risk, possible high reward type of deal.

    Tolvanen at 3,5m would be great for a bottom 6 role, as the guy hits ALOT.
