Unless Vancouver absorbs $2.5 million a year of his salary and takes engvals contract off our hands as part of the package I’d consider the trade
Take Engvall AND Mayfield deals as a start.
i remember my first beer
11 million regardless is a big no. Hell go after McDavid next year.
A risk we NEED to take. EP40s best seasons was with Horvat. We have Horvat.
I am a believer that EP can be fixed with a change of scenery and medical staff. There was a period when JT miller just left that his play improved markedly, and I think it shows that some of the underperformance is morale. Def need money going the other way or retained, but I would not be upset if we made a move for him
No
EP for Engvall makes sense to me. Both are oft-injured players that might do better with a change of scenery. Mayfield has more value for us than Vancouver, he's a legit 3rd pair RD
Change of scenery factor and Bo Horvat factor. Caps going up and a lot is coming off for us next year. He can be that 90 point guy again, hes 27. We haven't seen him motivated and fully healthy since he cracked 100 points and got this deal once Van took a nosedive. If we can get rid of a couple of our bad contracts in return, this makes sense for a guy who clearly has the skill to be one of the leagues best players.
No, no, no, no, no
11 mil a year for 6 years, hard pass !
