Winnipeg Jets 2026 Offseason Recap + Hellebuyck Trade Update

Most of the big offseason moves have been made around the NHL, but Connor Hellebuyck’s name still remains out there. Hellebuyck was almost moved to the Buffalo Sabres at the NHL Draft, but never reached the finish line. Will Hellebuyck get moved before the Fall?

  1. Love the Ferarro/Skinner signings
Besides Bjorck not a huge fan of the draft.

I do think a Hellebuyck deal gets done
    1. Buffalo I'd be doing anything to get even a 1for1 or add jets players like Lambert/Iafallo/even Perfetti if it meant Benson/bigger package.

Highly unlikely it's probably a pick+Mrtka+a fwd like McLeod/Ostlund jets probably want Quinn.

    2. As for Carolina we don't need Nikishin. I'd be doing anything similar above get Jarvis even if it's 1f1 or add Perfetti/Nino/Lambert/Iafallo get bigger package.

    3. NJ I think would be a Mercer+Silayev+1st.

Jets have a decent roster we have currently to many bottom 6 guys I'd like whoever we get in Hellebuyck trade+another scoring winger like Debrusk. Maybe it's Lambert+Nino for him.

    Example

    Connor Scheifele Villardi
    Perfetti Bjorck Quinn
    Iafallo Lowry Debrusk
    Barron Yager Namestnikov
    Koepke Zhilkin Rosen
    Chibrikov Ford

    Morrissey Pionk
    Samberg Salmonsson
    Ferarro Demelo
    Fluery

Skinner and get another goalie or try out the 2 young guys.

  2. I think we absolutely trade Hellebuyck. He hasn't been himself since the Olympics and clearly he doesn't wanna be in Winnipeg. Definitely should trade with Buffalo and include UPL in the return.

  3. I honestly like the signings of Skinner and Ferraro, I even said when he was on Edmonton he was out to dry a lot, and Ferraro is a good stay-at-home d-man.
