My response to the question about player development is….if the Bruins are drafting so poorly that they can't get anybody to make the leap except goalies, to grab NHL or AHL jobs when available, then they should clean house on their amateur scouting staff. That's a total failure on their ability to recognize talent and mentality that should get multiple people looking for jobs. That they continue to select and sign players that are so listless and talentless they flame out consistently is a sign that they need change in the organization. There are plenty of teams who have had similar success at the NHL level who still manage to find players while also trading away their picks for win now talent. Either they're incredibly unlucky or bad at their jobs if scouting is the core issue.

   If the problem is development, that they are picking good players but they wither away in the AHL, then they should clean house on the development staff and AHL coaches as well as the strategy creating that situation. It can't be neither, it can't just be that the players are at fault across the board that nobody is making it except Mason Lohrei, whom they want to dump anyway. Those players were picked and signed by the Bruins amateur scouting and GM's. They were supposed to be elevated by the development staff and AHL coaches, adding value by taking raw talent and helping them become the best versions of themselves. And then given opportunities to take advantage of those moments. None of that is happening. Something has to give here, it can't be a nobody is at fault situation except the individual players. Those players didn't arrive in the Bruins system by magic, those are their decisions.

   Like the Max Wanner example. If he's such a bust that he couldn't take top defenseman minutes in the AHL with injuries, then why did they ever trade for him? That makes it look like the Bruins scouting staff got fleeced by Edmonton for giving up Frederic for a guy that's no good and never will be. And if the problem is the player isn't seizing the moment or is too raw and needs skill development, why aren't the coaches and development staff motivating him and helping him raise his skills and confidence to do that? There's a pattern of players getting into the Bruins minor leagye system and stalling out until they dump them for other flame outs.

9. I don't think Jokiharju has gotten a fair shot in Boston.

10. Sweeny didnt do enough. I know its tough but this line up will likely miss playoffs. Or a first round exit. We can ice a really good bottom 6 but our top 6 might be bottom 5 in the league.
