No knock against what Raddysh did last season, but a player who only became a top-pair defenseman at age 30 is going to be paid 8.5 million until he's 38 years old. I get it that in 6-8 years from now 8.5 million will not be what it is today, but I think this contract will age about as well as the decision to hire John Chayka.
