Carlsson, a guy who has not even been a point per game player in the NHL yet, will sign an $18 million a year contract on Friday. He is going to be the mark that every player looks at when they sign their next contracts. $11.8 million per year will be 2nd line player money. Especially for a guy who has had over 100 points in his career, and with a little help in terms of another first line player to play with, could easily hit that mark again, $11.8 is going to seem like a deal if he gets any help. Name me 1 other forward on that team, who would be a first line player on any other team in the NHL. JUST F#@KING 1. Get him some help! Or, deal him, and watch him make the Canucks look stupid again when he is hitting 100 points, for $11.8. for another team.
