Interesting they made Alfie an 'associate' coach which is higher on the hierarchy than the 'assistant' coaches in Gruden and Werenka. Intriguing to see how this staff works out.

If I get to see the leafs win the Stanley Cup, I will push for April 10th to become a provincial holiday because it's already known as Daniel Alfredsson Day Ottawa since 2010.

Dennis Hildeby won the 2026 Cup as a Marlie but he won’t be called up. He was traded and it will be interesting to see who is back with the Marlies next year.
Alfie was a great leader and teammate. If he brings his team first mentality and his incredible work ethic to the Leafs, he will be beloved in Toronto.

Steve, how about recognizing the leafs being soft as Charmin!! Any other team after that hit on Tucker would have never given up that goal to Alfredsson!! BECAUSE ANY OTHER TEAM IN THE LEAGUE WOULD HAVE ALFREDSSON IN A HEAD LOCK IMMEDIATELY! That's your beloved team, year after year after year. EMBARRASSING THE SWEATER!
