Just trade Snaggletooth already. Exit stage left.
should have retired a couple years ago and saved himself the embarrassment. him and cece are total liabilities.
Holland sucks ass!
Holland has offered an offer sheet before. It was never official. He leaked it to Luongo before he filed the paper work.
He made an offer to Luongo who had been traded before his contract was up to Vancouver.
Because Luongo who was entering his first RFA summer had just been traded and didn't really understand the math, he rejected the deal.
He didn't realize till later when Vancouver made their offer that Holland had actually offered him more money than Vancouver could have paid, but it was too late.
He'd already rejected the offer.
Contrary to the narrative in many circles, a lot of good things happened when Drew Doughty was on the ice last season. Looking at that numbers, the relative ratings, Doughty was the only regular on the blueline at a +2.0 percent or better in all three metrics. That figure means that the Kings performed better in shot attempts, scoring chances and high-danger chances with Doughty on the ice relative to without Doughty on the ice.
Zucc going to make an impact straight away. Just you watch.
Row! Row! Row!
11M is too much, maybe 5M for 2 years
Really hope trade him as Edmonton just signed Shay coming off 6 Goals 35 Points Plus 30 for 4M per year. Drew is about 3 times that never going to be a plus 30 or rely on him playing 30 games or another full season with 5 goals. Time to move forward as DD is not Brent Burns who might play 84 games to set Iron Man streak as managed to do what DD will never do play full 82 game seasons from about same age. For me hope ditch Mediocre Mikey too rather have Soucy or Stanley than 5'8 guy who claims same height as Captain Clutch Brunson or DD hehe. Going to need to spend money on Franchise Center maybe win lotter to Draft RHD Franchise player as Clarke is not Him will be bad contract and term.
Loyalty is valuable and i think the way vegas does business will bite them. However the Kings need to be able to cut ties a bit easier. Less consternation.
Eddie is tip-toeing around the Doughty situation. It is about money. Doughty needs to take very little money so the Kings can get better or he needs to go elsewhere. Doughty can not be paid for what he has done in the past.
Meh. Laughton wasn't signed to an extension and now he has a new contract.
Will Doughty be able to swallow enough pride to accept a second pair assignment? We’ll see. Aside from that, we have 3 good D in Doughty, Clarke and Anderson, then it drops off a cliff. Hoping Gustafsson will be able to stay in the lineup and one of our pylons can either be sent down or traded away in a package. Probably wishful thinking, but I’m trying to remain optimistic.
In 12 years they haven't won a playoff series, why prolong a misery?? Cut the cord and move on. Use the money for younger players. NHL is changing quickly and every penny will be needed for these insane contracts being given out by the teams. Agents and players are running this league at this point and it's a total madness what we are witnessing.
Doughty seems like a player that won't retire until he basically has too. Hockey is in his blood and I don't think he will leave the battle field electively
18 million a year and 4 picks? thats beyond insanity.
There were actually 4 teams that offer sheeted Carlsson…
Let DD stay and finish out as a King for life like Kopi and Brown. This team isn't going anywhere for the next 2 to 3 years so let him finish out like Kopi and Kobe with the Lakers. We owe it to him. He has been faithful to the Kings fans and helped bring us our first 2 Stanley Cups. We aren't winning anything soon so always take the time to remember those who brought us glory and enjoyment.
Drew's contract has been an albatross around this teams neck since the beginning of the deal. His numbers the last 4 years make even worse. It only takes one bad signing to hamstring a team for years on end. Thanks, but no thanks, Dewy.
Anaheim has 7 days to match not 24 hrs.
Just pay Drew. The Kings are not winning the cup or being serious about it anyways for the next 5 years. We signed old men on the off season while serious teams got top deals done. Let's all be real. Kings have to tank and rebuild. We're now on the same level as Columbus and Flames. Not Florida and Vegas. Pay the man and let him ride off into the sunset
I think knowing how prideful Dewey is, I could see him actually quietly requesting a trade this season after being upset with his demoted role and not getting the C.
