My question is I saw online Anaheim has 17.1m in free cap for 26-27 thus the 18m offer screwing Anaheim, but someone told me they actually have 35m cap space yet I still see 17.1 so did they at some point today have 35m and if they did and it shows 17.1 would that mean they quietly matched Leo already? The only cap number I know for sure is Philly has 29-30m lol

So if they give this contract, they’re now setting the bar for what Trevor Zegras is going to expect. Also, because they’ve extended this offer that money is spoken for on the salary cap until the offer sheet is either signed or matched which hinder that a pursuit of other people and hinders resigning their own players. It’s a massive overpay
