  1. 🚨this was very instant reaction and I’ll have something later on or tomorrow morning talking about it more/deeper analysis. Follow on X/twitter for some commentary on this and other news in the meantime!

  2. this is rediculous! Robertson will sign for what ? 20 mil ?? Demidov just sign for 9 mil a year for 8 years. Is Leo Carlsson so much better then him?

  3. Leo is very good, but not worth the highest contract in the NHL. Not even close to McDavid, MacKinnon, or Kaprizov. I grew up in Anaheim, have watched the Ducks from day one. I say let the Flyers cripple their team financially for a good, but not (at least from what we've seen so far) a franchise player.

  4. I dont think they're signing him when Cutter and Beckett will need to get paid and they are already firing off well. He's off to Philly. Enjoy bankrupting yourselves. Four unconditional first round picks for a team that is sinking a load of their cap into a guy with upper mid points and they didnt make it past round 2. From business stand point, I wouldn't match. Let him go, and prepare to pay the other guys who our team has been building identity around. Give Cutter the C, Beckett an A, and let the fans know they're safe purchasing jerseys with those guys' names on them, and then we prepare for mcqueen and klepov. Washe and Moore were incredible for the team, we need to build like Carolina to win the cup, not like Nashville. This offer from Philly is such a fucking sleezy move – if Carlsson is worth 18, then Celebrini is worth 28. Like it's just creating a dumb precedent. These guys don't need to make this kind of money, it's turning into fucking baseball

  5. The Ducks will equal the offer and they will wait the full 7 days to announce it. This is an old trick that will prevent the Flyers from using that money to attract another free agent during that period.
