  1. seems like we are heading toward a "filler" year of sorts. Big moves coming next off season. Hopefully Ken has a good plan heading towards a loaded class in 28' (Matthews? mcdavid)

  2. Idk why people are so certain that Gustafsson is for sure the 7th D cuz he is the type of defenseman they desperately need in the lineup, and both Laviolette, and Housley like Gustafsson he's their type of defenseman. Gustafsson had 2 really good seasons under Laviolette on two different teams. I can see them moving Edmundson, or Dumoulin cuz having 5 defensive defenseman is very redundant, and they're not the best defenseman for the way Laviolette likes to play

  3. This group of FAs has an avergae age of 37….they are a combined -22…we went from being the 2nd oldest and slowest team to the #1 oldest and slowest team in the league. Most of these players have played on 4 or more teams….the Kings regressed with these FAs. None of them are a fit for Laviolette's high speed offensive strategy. KH admitted that he didn't consult with Laviolette reference where to place these acquisitions in the line up. We did not pick up a 1st line center or solve the goalie supply line problem. Meanwhile, Utah, SJ, Anaheim and Vancouver upgraded their teams and we can no longer expect to pick up 6-8 points in the standings from each team as we have over the past few years. This team will not make the playoffs this year. So, this means that either the Kings are actually starting a 3 year rebuild (based upon the contracts for the existing players) and are not telling us, or they are setting up for McDavid or Matthew's next year (both would be mistakes), or KH and the organization are just completely inept. If they are starting the rebuild (which these signings and the draft selections of last week indicate), please just tell us so we can buckle up and get ready to support it.

  4. Moore & Laferriere are not TOP 6 on a Stanley Cup winning team. Gustaffson had amazing numbers under Laviolette. Other D signings i feel are there when Ceci and Edmunson can't hang. Perunovich won the Hobey Baker. I think with the roster they have now they will surprise teams next year. I know he's another old guy but i would sure love to see Patty Kane and Panarin together in Kings uniforms.

  5. I'd say they were all upgrades for sure. There's more depth now in all 4 lines BUT Still lacking the 1C. The risk/payoff is solid too. If the older guys don't work out who has 1-2 years left in their contracts, they can be traded away for picks which our prospect cores are depleted.
I think the rebuild is coming within the next 2 years. ALL teams go through it and I think the Kings need it. Build around Clarke, Hampton/Carter, Elton John, and possibly Mikey.

  6. I love seeing Jesse back! Is it possible to equalize the sound levels? Zach’s voice level is very loud and Jesse’s voice level is very quiet. If I turn it up to hear Jesse, Zach’s voice is WAY too loud. Thanks for all the great Kings info!! GKG!!!!
