1. A lot of 2nd rate players. Gonna be battling for the last wildcard spot again

2. Fine with Borgen. Fine with trading korpidalo. There was no reason to sign Clifton. It's a typical Sweeney move. Maybe cam told him to sign him. You can't keep bringing back old retreads that can't play in the playoffs

3. Frank pepes has got to be the worst pizza in the city

4. Nobody cares about basketball

5. Borgen is going to be overextended. He's never played more than 17:45 in his 8-year career – And that's with being used as a PK guy… He only averages about 15:30 of 5v5

   I especially don't like that he's signed for 4 more years. If it were 2 it would be a lot more palatable…

6. Trade Middlestadt, Lohrie, Jokiharu – I think a middlestadt Lohrie package will bring in something significant whether its a top 4 D or top 6 F – I just dont see the bruins being good this year. They lack too many roles on the roster and where a lot of teams in their division got significantly better, they just dont have it. If they are on the outside of playoff picture by trade deadline i think moving a guy like Geekie makes a ton of sense. Vavorable contract and he will bring in a ton.

9. Peterka is a younger and better version of Arvidson with plenty of upside.
   And I'm wondering if having him and Lukas Reichel might unlock them both.
   With Pasta, Zacha and Minten and Hagens they should have a decent top 6 forward group (Elias Lindholm bounce back to at least a top 2C as a bridge to younger guys would help).
   (AND Dean Letourneau, Will Zellers and Cooper Simpson are hopefully not too far away from the AHL)

   Moving the Korpisalo contract was a great move.

   Goaltending is solid with Swayman and DiPietro and they've got a very good pipeline behind them

   BUT the Blueline needs major help, so hopefully prospects like Frederic Brunet can develop and push the group.
   Also, looking for Vashek Blanar to grow in the Swedish Elite league and then come over to Providence.

   Having McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm healthy is critical for the Bs.
   And hopefully they can get a partner with decent speed for Zadorov.

    See what the rangers do with Korpisalo? I bet they do very good with him we don't make the playoffs without him the bruins are a two goalies team to make the playoffs and now we only have one goalie

12. While I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with trading Jaylen Brown for ANY REASON, the Celtics have been threatening trading him almost every season he's been in Boston. He shoulda demanded a trade more to his preference, IMHO. The trade seems to be based on long-term gain. Hoping the Lukas Reichel & JJ Peterka sitch works out well. It would make GM Sweeney look competent

Hopefully the front office can make more moves that will shore up key holes in the line up but at this point it looks like the Bruins have consigned themselves to limping into the playoffs on a wild card at best unless they significantly over perform again. They've made incremental upgrades like Arvidsson to Peterka, or Peake to Borgen, which are good. You should be upgrading spots. Still haven't managed to address the big issues, like a top 4 offensive defenseman that can handle the power play and break outs or a first line center/second line right wing. With the upgrades Florida and Washington have made, two teams that missed the playoffs last season, competition is going up not down to get back to where they were. They should really think about seeing if Kirill Marchenko can be shook loose from Columbus. Werenski has backed off from his demands for now, Kirill definitely hasn't and he'd be a huge upgrade over Middelstadt. A scoring winger that profiles as a power forward, and lord knows the Bruins are loving Russians at the moment.

14. Awfully positive view of things gents. Korps trade great. Blowing the cap space on more bottom pair defenseman was a poor choice. We’ve got what Mac and 9 bottom pair defensemen?

15. What they need to do is trade Mason Lohrei, both the lindhomes, and possibly mittelstadt, in my opinion they need to make a big blockbuster hockey trade with another team that's willing to move some problems so that both teams can come out better

16. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't get penciling Minten as your 1C. I'm not convinced that he is anymore than a 3C. I'm also willing to bet Sweeney rushes unnecessarily to overpay him and Marat. Meanwhile I'm envisioning a small role for Hagens, no role for Poitras, and on D Aspirot will get the short shrift with all the media harping on how he couldn't hack it in the playoffs, as if he was the only one.

17. I am totally fine with Sweeney trading picks for younger players with upside because clearly Sweeney and his team can't draft for shit! Also didn't sign any aging players to long term contracts with a horrible free agent market.

18. Borgen is a massive improvement to Peeke. I’m coming around on the Peterka trade too

19. Sorry guys the Bruins are a joke. Dan Sweeney is a jackass hate saying it but I’ve been watching this team for years. I’m 51 years old. I’ve been watching them since I was like four or five years old the frustration we used to feel with Harry Sinden never wanting to get one or two more players to put us over the top. This guy doesn’t even wanna get us any players. He wants one guy to sell tickets pasta and that’s it

    He can’t draft he sucks with contracts. I just don’t see the upside here guys.
