Bob had a decimated team infront of him, his play didn't degrade. I can't say the same about Markstrom.
I think Zito is betting that Vilmanis will be the next ERod. Will be really interesting to see what Bob gets. I’m gonna be pissed if he actually signs 7×3.
I'm not buying that Bob would take 3 x 7. I would do that deal. I was expecting him to get between 20-25m total, not 42m. I'm praying there's another goalie and 4C up Zito's sleeve.
Hopefully they get Cole Schwindt or Stenlund since that’s probably the best options you can get in my opinion at 4C. If you can get both for the cheap then that’s a A+ in my book.
I would very much hope that there’s a plan for Vilmanis since it would be very stupid to not use him at the NHL level in some capacity. Hopefully Gudas takes less money and that Schmid gets some term on his deal.
I was fine with signing Brady and think it was wise to move on from Bob…..BUT, this last trade caused me to lose all confidence in the team. Having a weak 4th line, weak goaltender, weak backup goal tender, and no depth beyond the 3rd line is too much to be able to win a cup.
Money is super tight. Maybe the pens would take markstrom? Still rather have skinner at 3 per. And Bob at 3×4 mil???? No 4C is an issue. Today should help iron things out. Go cats.
