  1. They ruined him in Toronto i wish him the best he is a great hard working player sad to see him go. I wish the roster had a quarter of his heart

  2. The problem in TO is that Robertson was always stressed out, knowing he can't make a mistake or he gets benched. That destroys a player and gets him making even more mistakes. Imagine skating around every shift thinking "don't mess up, don't mess up,don't mess up…" = of course you are going to mess up. They need to just let this guy play… I think Pittsburgh is a perfect fit for him. I think he'll score 50 points there.

  3. This trade is gonna age so badly…
Toronto refused to put Robertson in a position to succeed and he was still one of their best depth scorers despite that. If Pittsburgh actually lets him play then him scoring 30 in at least one of the next 2-3 seasons is basically a certainty.

  4. I do just want to correct Steve on something, McMann/Domi/Robertson as a line was actually a positive outcome line, they weren't "Heavily outscored".
They had a 36-33 goal differential while on the ice together. (via NST)

It wasn't pretty hockey, but they did technically outscore their opponents.
