  1. I think a good fit for that RD spot would be going back to Utah for Sean Durzi or John Marino

Durzi was their 6th most used D-man in the playoffs and is only 27 and cost controlled for this year and next at $6M AAV. Marino is only 1 year at $4.4M

Whitecloud from CAL would be great too but, I think they want to keep him and is signed to an unreal $2.75M AAV so, could be more expensive on the trade market

EDIT: Hypothetical could be something like Mittlestadt + Lohrei for Durzi/Marino + Barret Hayton (RFA who also seems to have fallen out of the plan in UT)

  2. Columbus has a way forward but, it's not going to be easy because they need players that are already locked up and don't have NMCs to force their way to certain places. If I was CBJ GM I would be doing everything in my power to make the bottom 2 trades happen.

Werenski for Harley and Mavrik Bourque (RFA rights)
    Marchenko for Knies

  3. It’s 8:15 PM Eastern on Tuesday and I just saw that AJ Greer signed a FOUR-year contract with Anaheim at $4.25M AAV, WITH partial no-trade protection.

Based on this, I have the following thoughts:
    1) The contract with Tanner Jeannot is officially fine. Felt bad last summer, but even if it seems ludicrous to write this … that contract will actually age well, or at least “okay”.
    2) Victor Arvidsson is not re-upping with Boston. It’s not realistic, at all.
    3) The trade value for Mittelstadt and Zacha just went through the roof.
    4) The AAV for Elias Lindholm is going to be a non-factor, sooner rather than later.
    5) The Bruins are probably not doing ANYTHING in free agency unless they can move Korpisalo before the opening bell rings for UFA signings on Wednesday.
