I've never been a fan of the outro that you guys have added, but I must ask, why is every outro on every channel so much louder than the video it's inserted into?
If it's to get the viewer's attention, understandable, but all it does it annoy me and sometimes give me a slight jumpscare.

Markstrom and Akira Schmid. That's an interesting duo. Literally no idea how that works out. Markstrom is, at best, capricious. And Schmid was the best of three terrible goalies who still managed to make the Stanley Cup Final. I mean… who knows…
Something that not a lot of people are pointing out in the comments about this trade for the Devils is that, they aren’t retaining any salary, which is such a huge part of this deal, that’s how bad Tom Fitzgerald was a GM.
Devils fan chiming in; what was really crazy was watching Marky stand on his head at the Olympics with Sweden. I was watching and thinking 'Wait, this is my goalie? Why can't he play like this for us?!'
The reason that the Panthers parted ways with Bob wasn't only about the money, but the length of the contract he wanted (6 years).
Markstrom might not be the perfect solution but it gives them two years to decide what to do, especially when the cap will raise during those two seasons. At least that's my take.

I thought crookshank was what Florida was changing their team name too. After all these additions this off-season. Florida Crook-Shanks has a nice ring to it.
As a Devils fan, I have to completely concur with the statement "the worst puck handling goalie I've ever seen." He's the anti-Marty Brodeur. EVERY time he touches the puck, it ends up in the back of his net. If I were his coach, I'd fine him for every time he touches the puck. This has to end.
The Panthers are still a cup contender with a closing window because of age. NHL players consider the Toronto window to have already been shut completely. 😢

When I saw this trade, the very first thing I thought of was, "If you're a goaltender, TEND THE GOAL!"
Hot take maybe? Allen and Daws is a better duo than Markstrom and Schmid.

I am stunned the Devils got out of Markstrom’s contract without any retention or giving any real assets.

Devil fan comment- Fitzy really seemed like a decent GM in the beginning of his tenure here, but showed his lack of ability more and more the longer he was here. Kept handing out sweet heart player friendly contracts to guys that had shorter-term success, and would lose patience, and gave out deals to guys that would regress back to their collective means, and have NMC’s. Kind of hard to have roster flexibility when nobody can be moved…(unless some of them get convinced to waive them)
Hopefully we have the assets to target Hellebuyck? I think we do, and maybe to get another forward or two.
