De La Hoya only ran one time, and that was against Trinidad. However, he got bad advice from his corner thinking he had the fight in the bag. He fought like a complete warrior in his fights after that, never running from anyone. I think at times, it was to his own detriment, because there was some fights were dancing would have helped him win the fight. Oscar was a real boxer-puncher, with a lot of power. He was better fighting whatever style would win him the fight. He also always wanted to fight the best out there and ducked no one. He was a warrior, but at his his best he was more of versatile, boxed-puncher warrior who used more of his skill set. He did so against Fernando, both boxing and ducking it out with him, and showed he was the superior fighter.
