Well with what the panthers are doing, id want out of the east just for personal safety. With gudas on the panthers on top of all their other signings this year.
Okay you guys are talking out your ass es. Larkin is literally a top 25 center in the league and there are 32 teams. That makes him a first line center.
It's not Dallas just trading Robertson because they want to trade Robertson for a huge return. They are trading Robertson because they can't sign him and don't want to lose him for nothing. The best return value Dallas could get right now is Larkin.
Larkin is a 70 point 30 goal scorer nearly every year. He has a premium position. He plays center and Robertson plays wing. Robertson 100% is a better player, but at a less premium position.
Mind you I'm not supporting Larkin. I think it's an a**** that disappears down the stretch, but that doesn't make your guys analysis correct.
Yzerman's failures on drafts, results, management of personnel, no vet wants to go to Detroit. He doesn't think any deal is good for the team to a fault.
What's Robertson's face off %, how good is he on the PK? Robertson is not the same player, albeit his omission on the USA roster.
Edvinsson should move to forward. He just as fast as Ras, if not faster.

Most good players (he's in the 80th percentile) need protection or they're gassed at the end. Wings needed Larkin to sprint out of the gate and did, that's why they weren't losing two in a row.
One more comment, do not take lighty that his faceoff percentage and his ranking among the best in the league. His defensive game put him on the roster for USA and will continue the next four years if he's off the Wings.

We will never know the sweet trade offers that Yzerman has turned down while he made Larkin sit all summer waiting for "What's best for the team". What's best for Yzerman is most likely max pain inflicted on Larkin. Let's all be real here.
I don't understand why dylan would agree to go to dallas? Has everyone forgotten Jaime Benn plays for Dallas and basically ruined larkins season with a cross check to the neck? I really dont think you walk into the locker room and look at Benn and go, "No hard feeelings" thats how soft larkin is. Never should have been captain.

He was top 15 c in the league. The means he's a 1st line C on over half the NHL teams so we all need to stop pretending he ain't a 1c😅 I hate is soft charmin @$$ too but he aint😅
I initially wanted to trade Larkin, but i have changed my view. Larkin signed a contract and he has 5 years left. He wants a trade but only wants to go to a few teams? sorry pal. you aint going no where. See you at training camp. You will go out there and you will play the best you can. if you dont one of two things will happen. You will sit for the remainder of your contract until you are worthless, or you play without effort which also diminishes your value. so if you want to go to a good team eventually you will play and you will play the best you can so that team will actually want you. I have been saying Larkin is good but not elite for years and half of fandom excoriated me every single time. he is good, but he is not elite. period full stop!
That said, i would 100 percent take Robertson for Larkin but there is no way Dallas is making that trade. Detroit would probably have to give up Cat and someone else also.
