Will the New Jersey Devils be active in free agency?
General manager Sunny Mehta may go this route to improve the NJ Devils.
In this video I give a list of 5 players that I think could be a good fit for this Devils team. (it all depends on the cost obviously!)

Sunny has a history of trading for undervalued players. That is how he got Florida to the promise land. The next couple weeks should be interesting.

I like Eeli Tolvanen…27, pure sniper, hits everything that moves, got a nasty streak. Might cost 3.5-3.75 at most. He was stuck in a defensive structure system in Seattle that didn’t exactly let him play his game.

I want Marchenko. Imagine sending 3 first rnd picks, Dougie (3 million retained )Mercer, Casey for Werenski and Machenko. Then signing one of the guys you mentioned. Most NOW 3rd liners and possible pp guys in certain situations. Yea yea pipe dream but everything is right now since it's summer time 😛Laine under 2 million is a steal
Marchment and Mantha I am down with. Laine it would really depend on what he is asking because some GM is probably going to overpay him. I am not interested in the rest. Dadanov isn't getting an offer, I am unsure about MacEwen given his injuries last season, and Cotter isn't being qualified…so Sunny must have plan here.
Marchment I'd definitely be most excited for.
Laine is just too injury-prone for me and what not, I'd be incredibly nervous and not hopeful about that signing.
Isn't Kane a defensive liability?
If we don’t add some toughness, we’re going nowhere! This team is soft! Want no part of Laine-like Hughes, he never play and entire season.
Laine is a perfect PP1 sniper for Jack.
Out of the 5 players you've mentioned, Tarasenko would be the best chance the Devils will sign IMO.
