6. I really like this pick. Best C in the draft, 6'2, 185 lbs and a 1C who can hopefully put up 70-80 points is going to be a cornerstone for the rebuild. His trajectory from BCHL to OHL is evidence he has the offensive skill to adapt to different leagues. He can spend a year or 2 in college and go from there. Next year, let's try to get DuPont!

14. Practically the first thing Johnson said was to be patient. Fans are just relieved that an actual rebuild is underway. They won’t have a problem rooting for a young, underdog team. But these two started whining a week ago that Vancouver wasn’t making any trades leading up to the draft. If there’s no drama they got nothing to talk about, so they create it.

26. Look at his progression. He starts on the Bulldogs and looks like their 3C. On a team with multiple 25' 1st round picks. What does he do?

    He explodes. He works up the lineup. He gets PK time. Then adds PP time. Moves up the lines. He becomes the 2C. Then he's the 1C. Then he's on PP1.

    Like you cannot look at that and go "oh yeah but he was pretty trash in the BCHL (until the playoffs)". Let's see his first year and second years in Boston College. I'm hoping he keeps developing under one of the best dev coaches around, and his actual projection is a strong defensive 1C with playmaking abilities.
