  1. Rangers fans are glowing over the dorofeyev signing. We'll see if they're still glowing in a few months. He's inconsistent, and he's about to look even worse on a bottom feeder team. Who is going to spoon feed him all those chances? Give it a few years. The rangers will be looking for a buyout before that contract is even halfway done. We got his best years on a bargain contract and cashed out at the right time. 11 million AAV is absolutely hilarious.

  2. Focus on fast young skaters who can hopefully get the O-zone regularly enough, and don't worry about goal scoring players per se. Caps have had ovechkin for 2 decades and only won 1 cup.

If I remember correctly, the Knights tallied 6 goals with a makeshift lineup (including some AHL guys) in the first game back from the Olympics break, before the others rejoined vs. Washington in the next game. YOUTH and SPEED – and keep renovating the roster. Next up: maybe Kolesar, Stone, Smith and Karlsson? Sounds sick, but possibly necessary.

  3. Doro is going to have fun playing in the East where they fight hard on the boards for the pucks. Not his strength. With our cap space that's the best we could hope for I think.

  4. Vegas hates players that score over 30 goals per season. They sure like to get players that can’t score but get multiple penalties per game like the entire 4th line. With our lack of offense to begin with this was the dumbest thing they could have done. We need more offense not less. 11 million in NYC with state and NY City tax will equal 7-7.5 million per year.

  5. Doro making mitch marner money is just stupid. I never thought I'd see the day. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I just don't think he's worth an 11X7 contract. That's superstar salary, and I don't think he's anywhere close to that level. I would take three brett howdens over one player whose entire game depends on someone else setting him up to shoot. I'm glad he's off this team.

  6. Vegas should have waited for the offer sheets. The 11 million from the NYR would equal 2 firsts + 1 second + 1 third. Given the Rangers trajectory, those firsts would have been lottery picks.

  7. I was thrilled when the leafs didn't chase Anderson. Anderson went from plus 30 to plus 5 to minus 11 to minus 38. Something is way off with him and proved to be 2 million dollar player in vegas not a 8 million guy. He is out of position constantly.

  8. Stephenson, hague, dorofeyev, and marchessault all chose the bigger paycheck over chasing another cup. Now they're spread across three different mediocre teams, spending april and may watching vegas make another run to the finals from their couches. Welcome to the club, pavel. 😅

  9. I thought it would never listen again since torts is gone but then you go and give my team a true young sniper. Thank you! All the Torts hate is now officially forgiven. Finally a sniper on the NY Rangers. 🙏

  10. So we got rid of Doro so we can sign the awful Anderson. I assure you we didn't get enough to make a major trade since Doro was their only tradeable player. This will turn out to be bad trade. The only person we're signing is Anderson. Like Tony said we took the worst player of the two. Another Mc Crimmy blunder. Tony was so happy he ordered a big plate of lasagna. I would say 0 percent chance of getting any of big players. A 100 percent chance of Anderson poor us.

  11. Maybe find a good goalie, start in the net and build out! The whole unit is high risk, but looking at a sharp GM getting played by Chris Drury! And he took the future good! Not much in the goaltending department, wish Robin Lehner was at his best! As long as he's good today! Be well my friend! I suffer the same!

  12. Rangers fan here, I think the rangers did well here, as did the knights. The rangers probably were not gonna take someone at 26 that would be as good as Dorofeyev, and if they did that player would not be ready for years. As for the knights, they hit a grand slam home run by drafting Dorofeyev in the 3rd round to begin with. As someone who has never listened to your podcast before, I’m glad to hear that you two had a very non biased perspective on this deal.

  13. Knights finished as franchise made worst trade in NHL history even Vilardi Iafallo Kupari for PLD hehe. Better off on offer sheet get unprotected 1st round picks. Only Montreal another team could offer him 9.6 Million or more but goes for 5 years. So Rangers contract would be 4 first round picks. Until all the Eichels gone wont waste time with failed franchise who only drafted Dorofeyev Cotter Hague utter trash picking players. Foley is nothing comoared to sphere as Dolan spent more to create than Foley net worth below 3 billion. Once NBA builds new arena gets team in Vegas maybe will try to salvage team. Entire management needs to be fired GM thru to the President no more M n M heh.
