Another TRADE! | Predators Send Fedor Svechkov & Zach L’Heureux To Colorado

Predators GM Chris MacFarland has made another deal with his former squad, this time sending Fedor Svechkov and Zach L’Heureux to the Colorado Avalanche. In return, the Predators received Jack Drury, Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round draft pick. Was it time for Svechkov and L’Heurux to go as two underperforming first-round picks from the 2021 draft? How Drury fills out MacFarland’s vision of adding depth to the bottom six and Bradley an extra push in Milwaukee. Finally, what does this do to the third and fourth lines?   3. Predators need to go after the Xhekaj brothers next from Montreal. Arber Xhekaj to Smashville makes way too much sense! We need a true smasher!

  4. I like ZLH and Svech, but they never really took off! Especially for former first rounders. Maybe some of it is on the Preds, but maybe he’ll go to Colorado and blow it up. I hope they do. I mean, it could also be a “Bruno” problem.

  5. Well. Mac starts at the wrong end of the roster, but ok. During the Trodz regime we were simply not able to make the players take that last step. Fedor has been a huge disappointment. Nowhere near looking like a legit center in any part of the lineup. Heard that before? Mac gotta go through what we do wrong here. They look good in Millwaukee, bambis in the headlights at Bridgestone

  6. The Nashville and Colorado trades will work out very well IMO. This is changing the talent dynamics in concert with the culture. The new GM is changing talent and culture in the transformation of the team!

  10. Jack Drury is a solid hockey player, he will be greatly missed in Colorado and wasn't even there for long! Nashville won this trade imo, depending on how much he asks for

  11. Avs fan here, we're all really sad to lose Drury. He's a beast at faceoffs, really good PKer, solid defensively. Perfect depth roleplayer. You will never see Chase Bradley again. Did this happy dude really attack a fan with his stick and is there video?

  12. Avs fan here. Drury was the best part of the Mikko Rantenen trade with Carolina. I don't care what people say about Martin Necas. Drury was a great surprise to me and I'm not surprised at all that now Macfarland stole him away. Strong on faceoffs, strong on the PK, hard nosed 4th liner that was definitely worth 2 players. Really wish I heard better things about these two players colorado got. Sounds like two cheap nobodies Oh Joy. Macfarland bent over Sakic on this one.
