1. Craig's a moron. Mike asked to talk to the players first, he talked with them for about 2 hours then talked with ownership and management for about 4 hours. It's not on just the players, like Craig seems to suggest. The players wanted him, and he still had to convince ownership and management

2. Babcock has a winning pedigree. He is as good as anyone currently available so might as well give him a try. It will be interesting when we know how long a contract he signed.

3. After seeing the press conference, I have zero doubt he's the same ol' a-hole. This era, is over. It just hasn't realized it yet.

4. This show is an embarrassment to Edmonton hockey. Put the mic away boys nobody watches the show.

It has come to a point where the Coaching staff and players are going to shut out the media; Then FANS GET SCREWED! You'll walk into an interview and their lips will be moving but You'll get absolutely nothing. You get what you deserve. You'll see more players abandon this sinking ship as their contracts end. The Oilers will be Skating with a bunch of SCRUBS!😢

10. I normally don't agree with Craig, and I enjoy how his opinion switched so quickly, dude was not so anti Babs earlier, but I agree that Babs is does not make them a contender, his winning pedigree is not as good as you think and he hasn't even coached since 2019! The league changes quick

11. What I initially heard about Darnell Nurse was the Philadelphia Flyers were an ideal destination for a trade with Edmonton.

It seems like in order for this to work with Mike Babcock It requires people to be constantly “standing up to him “as button said etc. that sounds like a lot of work and it sounds quite frankly really exhausting. I really hope this isn’t gonna be a long-term year deal. I don’t think Babcock took too much responsibility in the press conference. Stan Bowman’s connection was that his dad worked with him? Big deal. When there’s multiple players talking about the emotional abuse, him ending their careers and benching them all the time maybe believe them and look somewhere else for a coach? How can we go this far? I feel like Daryl Katz , with his illnesses he’s gone through and surgeries that he’s just not well enough to be an owner of a hockey team and he’s just going along with whatever Stan is saying because he is compromised.

    I agree it’s odd to have Mcdraihymen have so much to say in all of this. It’s inappropriate

16. We just brought in 1600 games of nhl experience with both hires. Babcock has won everything you can in hockey. Our team wants a hardass who will push them and actually create a team that’s all in. He’s going to be great for this group.

    On some rebuilding or shitty team like Colombus he is bad, but on an experienced team looking to get that last 5 percent he’s great.

21. I agree with Button that the Oilers shifted responsibility on the players. However, I suspect Hyman had something to do with bringing Babcock in.

22. Remember how many times button is wrong………….also Edmonton just keeps circling the drain with ridiculous decisions………spend the god dam money and get some staff already! The only good thing that might happen in years is the nurse contract gone!

    Knobby didn't have an answer when other teams prevented McDavid coming up the middle on the PP.

    Babs will have lots of answers. He is going to maximize this talent this year, and at this time next year they'll be in a position to go big game hunting.
