Amen, Thomas, on your take with getting older and tying up cap space. That is not what I was expecting. I'd rather have sold off Pageau and Lee at the trade deadline…and not picked up Soucy, Palat and Schenn.
Bringing up 329. I notice their decibel levels dropping too. This isn’t to hate on them as I don’t know them personally but if you’re going to claim to be THE isles supporters group you have to be loud all game. At the end of the day they’re just spectators like the rest of us with cheaper seats. Not telling anyone how to fan but it’s just an observation from the outside looking in.

The JGP Extension was a mistake.
The one thing I am PRAYING is that the ownership group influenced Darche's decision making at deadline and that he turns to them and says "guys – we gotta stop rolling out this group and changing over this roster."

COMMIT TO THE RETOOL. The team is light years away from being a contender so get some young, hungry players & accept youre gonna be a bottom feeders. Thats what Buf, Mtl, Anaheim did and will be building into something interesting. Enough with the mushy middle.
Great job, absolutely great takes. My only issue is Colorado led the league in goals. Islanders, once again, we're bottom 10. So they can BE bad on the power play, but the Isles have to get it from SOMEWHERE.
