  1. Just because a media person has a different strategy than the stated strategy of the GM doesn't make it true. If the opportunities come where Dubas can get a 20-28-year-old high-ceiling player, he will be first in line to trade Rust and Rakkell. The problem so far has been the price. Dubas is shopping in the bargain basement because he can't match the price for players that are not reclamation projects. How many of those trades have you seen? None! Dubas is sober about the state of this team and the players he can target, and he has made it clear. To think he changes his strategy like underwear, well? He knows he needs more high-ceiling players, 10-15 years younger.

  2. Re-signing Geno was a mistake. It was done to please fan sentiment. You can't build a contender that way. Geno was only a point per game player because he missed time because of injury and suspension. Keep working the plan to get younger, bigger, and faster. Dump Letang while you are at it

  3. That Alex Tuch contract is insane.

Here's the truth about Rust and Rakell. The time to trade them was two years ago.

It doesn't matter if they burn it down. The penguins have put themselves on the path where the team is going to burn itself down.

  4. Stay the course Pens. We are getting closer. No need to sacrifice unless it makes sense. Take care of what you got. All 32 teams have cap space. Don't be the teenager with a brand new credit card. The price is always better if people knock on your door rather than you knocking on theirs.
I think it's more important to have all of the lines so good that you are not afraid to put them on the ice against anybody.

  5. We had the best season we could possibly have last year and still weren’t close to the cup. Anything but trading the vets we have that people want is malpractice. We tell Crosby look we’re gonna rebuild, you’re welcome to stay but if you want out we’ll accommodate you but it’s time to start over. Anything less is delusion and does the franchise no good

  6. I totally agree with you. There's some juice still left in this team and I don't think Dubas needs to go and have a fire sale. I think we keep as many as make sense and try to go further in the playoffs than last year. My one big concern is injuries. I shouldn't even say it but with an aging team that's something that weighs heavy on the mind but if we can find a way to avoid any major long-term Injuries, I think we make a run. idk call me crazy lol
