What should the Stars draft strategy be? "Best available" or look for a player that may have a lot of upside (i.e. a diamond in the rough)?

What are JN's options if he can't re-sign Robo. IMO, the worst option is to have Robo go to arbitration and sign a 1 year deal the Stars can't fit into the cap. That would force JN to make a deal for a player that is only under contract for 1 year.
It looks like JN will have to make some very big roster decisions to re-sign Robo & Mav.
First of all Kaprizov set the bar with 17M and Robo is better than him. Second, Robo is better than Rantanen 12M and Harley 11M. Robo at minimum is worth 14M+. If Stars want their best player they will get it done at 14M min and give him the C. If not, best for Stars is to trade him to a team that will be willing to give him what he is worth 14M to 17M.

1.Trade robo for knies and a pick
2. Trade lebushkin for cap
3. Get a third line player
4. Wait till next year when seguin comes off
5. Cap goes up and get seguins cap money
6. Sign seguin 2x3mil
7. use all the left over cap space and 2029 first because you will be in year 2028 and go big game hunting
