¸Dahlin is slow and came unprepared from offseason, that's why he injured himself only 1 shift into training camp, that's what happens when you don't do workout to stay in minimum shape at least. It's a disgrace how he looks and plays, and that he is a captain. Tuch is mabe 2nd line player, but in any serious team he is a 3rd liner, too incosistent and misses most of his shots, others are just bums and trash. Cozens is untalented shooter, a bust. Thompson forgot how to aim and score I guess, overall just overratted bums who can't score. This team needs crash rebuild, with new players who know how to aim and take slapshots not just wristers that go into the pads or crests of goalies. Sack that bum of a GM, I can't stand his face or his voice. This is a disaster.
I think the pressure of us wanting them to win now is causing them to be even worse lol. I don't believe in this roster at all nor management. The outlook on the season looks more grim with every game too. Even if we keep our roster in tact after this season, I won't have any faith they'll improve. Don't care if they're young, they're just going to get used to losing and continue to lose because that's the current team culture. It reminds me of those garbage Leafs teams pre-Matthews where they were just finding ways to lose.

The biggest takeaway I've had so far… 3 GOALS FOR IN 3 GAMES! This isn't looking good. Lindy was supposed to add a spark, he hasn't done that.
Such a stupid penalty by Sammie, you can't do that at that point in the game or any point IMHO. Take his A away! They out played the Kings for most of the game, the PP still sucks, Tage couldn't buy a goal. More of the same sucks, I have no solution.

I say it every year and I'm gonna keep saying it. The sabres will not see success while pegula is the owner. He simply does not care about winning and it unfortunately is the culture with the team. 1 week in and I'm already checked out. It's pathetic, it's sad. It's embarrassing. Being a fan of this cursed franchise is a joke at best. Idk how much more I can support this team. 13 years with no hope in sight….
Maybe, just maybe it is time to take a big bite of a chill pill. The expectations are blown out of proportion, and now everybody panics over 3 losses?? After 10 straight losses we are allowed to panic. Not now.
Point I made to a fellow fan was in 22-23 when they hit the post, the majority went in. Last season and this season, they aren't. Liked what I saw in the 1st two periods. But, in the 3rd period when LA scored it looked like they went into a shell like 3rd periods last year. I was expecting with the 3rd and 4th liners they picked up for this season, the Sabres would be wearing the other teams down, allowing a barrage of scoring chances for the top two lines. Whatever Donnie did to these guys last year is going to take a great deal of de-programming. They are trying too hard to play hockey instead of just playing hockey. The young forwards have lost their confidence. They have to figure out a way to get their swagger back.
The only team the sabres will finish above in the division is montreal. Same team as last year. Horrible PP, struggle to score, and players like tuch, cozens, and krebs will be getting their lunch filled in because upper brass refuses to get any real muscle on this team to protect the stars/kids. Maybe next year when adams is gone.
Also all offseason we asked for top 6 and all we got was bottom 6. We haven’t even replaced what Middlestadt gave us. We traded away a top scoring prospect as well.
Yes they were in the game, yes Kings are drafting top 10 this year…I'll hold my "they played better" verbiage until I see them play another top half team. This team still has no identity.

I am watching Bruce Boudreau on NHL Network games look ins. Just makes me sad no one has hired him again. What a passion he has for coaching! If I am managing one of those teams on outside looking in…I don’t understand not hiring him. His last gig he took a Vancouver team that had run aground in November (2022?) and they nearly made the playoffs.
I know Lindy is a quality coach and management all in on him but have followed Boudreau from Caps to Anaheim to Wild ..enjoy watching him on the bench. 🍃
This was very disappointing. I take nothing from Kuemper (he was a great Coyote) and a cup winner (less impressive there) but Buffalo should have been on this. Home crowd against a west coast team that travelled and still playing into form after the Sabres had 2 games on the board. I don't know where this is going after the disjointed pre season. 🤔
No worries it's only Florida next.

I've got 2 main complaints:
That was an inexcusable, lazy, soft, and heartless play by Dahlin early in the 3rd. THAT's our captain? That is our f*cking captain? I hope Lindy tore a strip off of him.
And why does it seem that many goalies have their best games against us? For the last several years, it just seems like every goalie plays like Jacques freakin' Plante against us; even back-up tenders are lights out against the Sabres.
The only solace is that we know they won't go 0-82. At some point, there will be a victory to celebrate…maybe sometime in November? 🙄
