I have no idea how this is even a sell at all. Hellebuyck is a great improvement to what the Sabres have.
Hellebuyck had a injury-hampered 2025–26 season what are we going to give up for him – our future ?
Was Hellebuyck injured last year? UPL had a much better season than Hellebuyck last year, Hellebuyck gets paid 8.5 mil you better be sure he can return to form before you trade fore him.
Hellebuyck makes more salary than UPL, Lyon, Ellis and even Levi combined and has been a playoff failure.
If Buffalo had the cap space, we could probably do that with a goalie, but I don’t think that’s a good idea this year unfortunately with the Skinner buyout 6.5 million
Gotta stop talking about how Florida builds through trades, mention Lundell was a hard no, and then MAYBE Helenius is a line in the sand. Barkov and Lundell are both draft picks by Florida that they never moved when times were tough or they were on the up. Helenius is a hard no end of discussion.
Getting Hellebuyck would be a path for a another run of missing the playoffs. Winnipeg was. ready for a playoff run and he blew it. Lets be real.
