The two centers Danny Briere has been chasing for months play in Ottawa — and the chess board around them just shifted. We’re breaking down everything connecting the Flyers to Dylan Cozens and Shane Pinto, why Rasmus Ristolainen is the key to any deal, and how Ottawa’s aggressive pursuit of Dallas winger Jason Robertson fits into the picture.
🔴 Dylan Cozens — Full Breakdown
28 goals, 59 points, over 53% on faceoffs, and Selke Trophy consideration this past season. A 6-foot-3 right-shot center signed through 2029-30 at $7.1 million. We break down why he’s viewed as the more available of Ottawa’s two trade chips down the middle — and why the Flyers should be very interested.
🔴 Shane Pinto — Full Breakdown
A career year — 23 goals, 46 points — and a top-six finish in Selke Trophy voting as one of the league’s best defensive forwards. He’s the Flyers’ reported top preference of the two, locked up through 2029-30 at $7.5 million. We get into his full game, the concerns, and why Ottawa might still be willing to move him.
đź”´ The Ristolainen Connection
Ottawa GM Steve Staios is in the market for a right-shot defenseman, and the Senators have shown interest in Flyers blueliner Rasmus Ristolainen. We break down why this isn’t a simple one-for-one swap and what additional pieces a realistic trade package would need.
đź”´ The Jason Robertson Wrinkle
Fresh off trading captain Brady Tkachuk for a massive draft haul, Ottawa is reportedly making a major push for Dallas Stars RFA winger Jason Robertson — even threatening a record-setting offer sheet. We break down what that pursuit means for a potential Flyers trade — does it make a deal more likely, or does it pull Ottawa’s attention elsewhere?
đź”´ Building a Realistic Package
Ristolainen plus picks and prospects — no Owen Tippett required. We construct what an actual trade offer for Cozens or Pinto could look like from Philadelphia’s side.

Risto Luchanko 1 2028 for Cozens
Jim in an offer sheet you can only use your own draft picks not ones that are aquire from another team love your pods
The sens don't need a player like Risto, especially not for a franchise 2nd line center in Cozens and Pinto. cmon dude.
Pinto is a 40 points guy and Cozens is a 50 point guy.
That’s not good enough beyond Risto and a 2nd.
Cozens for Tippett
As a flyers fan I’ll give em. Rasmus. Bonk. Vansagi. Next year first A 2028 second and we take on Ottawa worst contract for Cousins. And a AHL/NHL RD type every team has one and we just traded ours in Andre who I liked
With Brady going to Florida, the Flyers should not spend extra money, or picks, on anyone. It’s clear the Flyers are still too young and inexperienced to win a cup in the next two years…
However, in 2+ years, I believe the Flyers draft picks, along with their already established young core, will be a cup contender for years to come.
Dude you got a hard on for Cullen he’s not a top 13 pick. Definitely taking Oliver Hemming over him and My flyers are not taking a RD we need a LD and Center and I’ll bet my car Pippa not going before Lin that’s just crazy to me
Pickup Jesperi Kotkinemi speaks Russian put him with michkov and forester
Illa Morozov falls that far I’ll be shocked. He’s not different than Cullen both weren’t considered top prospects last season and both are crazy young. Don’t see how u can jerk off to Cullen and bad mouthing Illa
I think Willy Haks and Brooks definitely fit in the end of the first
We need a legit no. 1 center. Like Austin Matthews. If he's not available then Cozens may be the next best thing.
The flyers have got to bring up Nesbid last years #12 overall pick last year
