I really doubt EP40 would agree to a trade to Winnipeg
I would rather keep perfetti and bet on a breakout year than have the 24th overall.
There is no way EP40 is bringing back more than a bag of practice pucks unless 50% salary is retained. That's a lot of money over six years.
They are already paying OEL $4.77M to play like an all star for Toronto. He got more points last year than ep40, and he's a defenseman.

Elias Pettersson is a huge distraction and annoyance. Vancouver has to move him out East. If there is anyone will take him. Would the New York Rangers franchise revive the real Elias Pettersson; super-star? They are welcome to try.

A better comp for Perfetti is Mercer. No idea what you are going to have in two to three years.
This deal should be Debrusk, Petterson and a 3 for the 8th overall pick.
