The Sharks would not be a Stanley Cup contender with Hellebuyck for at least another 2-3 years. They have no defense and it looks like they're going to pass on Chase Reid to pick another forward, so they'll need to spend another several years building up that blue line.

Idk why my sharks are always involved in every mock trade. We don’t need anything but defensemen and our core is pretty much locked up right now. Why would we choose to get older and excelerate the rebuild for no reason? We’ll be a contender in like 2-3 years anyways so what’s the point?
