I hope the #1center traded for and anybody drafted is NOT a perimeter primadona player. Always draft, in no order, size, speed, and skill.
I would love for Yank to draft Ilya Morozov. Big centers like that are hard to trade for (as the Kings are seeing right now). Just keep him off the half wall if he’s drafted and developed.
I'm so sick of the Kings drafting philosophy. LA style of player etc. That style of player has not achieved anything of note for the organization for the last 7 years or so. Carolina drafts after us consistently but chooses high upside players. Instead we go with low ceiling system players.
You'd think the law of averages would mean the LAKings would get lucky and hit a home run with a player in the first round once in awhile. How many "can't miss" players have the Kings drafted that simply didn't pan out?
Maybe ask Dave Taylor for some advice. He did draft Kopi, Brown and DD……you could ask Futa but we lost him to the current Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes……
