In this episode of “SHOUT!”, Matt Parrino sits down with Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady at One Bills Drive following mandatory minicamp for one of the most candid conversations he’s had since taking the job.
Brady opens up about the day Sean McDermott was fired — what he was feeling, where he was, and why he describes it as one of the most emotional moments of his career. He also breaks down the uncertainty of interviewing for the head coaching job while not even knowing if he had a job to come back to, and what it felt like when the opportunity in Buffalo became real.
We cover everything:
⚡ What it’s really like when Josh Allen walks into his office with an idea — and how much influence Allen actually has on the offense
🏈 The honest story behind “I’m the weather” and what he actually meant
📈 How the Bills offense has evolved from the Brian Daboll era to today
🎯 Why he’s already bracing for the DJ Moore criticism before the season even starts
😂 Why Joe Brady calls himself Josh Allen’s biggest hater
🏆 What a successful Year 1 as head coach actually looks like to him — and it’s not what you’d expect
🎙️ The Stefon Diggs question, the wide receiver room, the jumbo package, and a lot more

GO BILLS!!
This reminds me so much of when Shanahan took over later in Elways career. Just glad its happening much earlier in Allens career.
Let's go win some superbowls!!!!
I'm rooting for Brady, but I'd be lying if I said my expectations were high.
Great interview Matt – Coach Brady seems like a dedicated person and brings an open mind to his strategy for the team!! Go Bills 👍🩵❤️🙏
Nice job Matt. Great interview.
Come on man don’t hold the video hostage again man it’s Wednesday 🤦🏿♂️ 😂 go bills Brady is the coach we need
Nice interview…every coach…good and bad, had to go through this. Brady has an advantage in that he's familiar with the team he's become HC of. I'm optimistic.
Interview Jim Leonhard next please 😂
Man just put the ball 🏈 down😂😂😂 #JoeBrady
Shakir 2026 Statline according to Joe Brady:
96 catches
1440 yds
Montana from 87-90, 22tds & 3 turnovers
Kelly from 90-93 , 13 tds & 14 turnovers
Allen from 20-23; 25 tds and 5 turnovers
In the past 6 elimination games the bills defense gave up more points per drive than the 2007 Patriots offense scored….
I hope he's right because every time he talks he says right 😂
Great interview! Go Bills!
Some of Matt's best work here.
Shout out to Coach for getting on the pod. He seems super dope.
My question would be did Sean ever change the play call on you, if so, do you think you would do the same to your OC?
It hurt my heart when he said he was broken. I was too.
Agree, stats can lie. It all depends on what they do more..run or pass
Great episode
Outstanding questions Matt! You can tell you prepared for this interview. 👏👏
Excellent questions Matt. And eventhough your did not get the answers you wanted, I think he answered them as he should have. I know fans and media hate it when coaches and players don't give the answers that they want, but Joe B's #1 priority is to put the team first. No good coach can ever give the answers that people want. As a result, I think you both hit this interview out of the park!
What a great interview!!! Love this podcast
I think it’s funny when guys interview coaches….all you’re gonna get is coach speak for answers
Well… The Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau last year, brought in Mike Brown and look what happened, they are World Champs. Well…why not us with Joe Brady? New stadium, new vibe and a Super Bowl title? I'll take it!💯FACTS!
Joe Brady seems to have a great sense of what his vision is for this team he relates well to the younger players he is a creative play caller also he has old school run game tendencies ( pound the ground game until the opposition gives up ) which is great , the real test is how he and the team responds to a multi game losing streak that all teams go through
Joe seem extra nervous to anyone else?
Nobody Circles the Wagons
I love the Bills and hope they win it all, but Joe Brady is cringe n corny.
