I understand he wants to go to competitive teams and none of them will offer anyone of same value or higher but why has no one explored a larger package (Larkin+Debrincat/Ray/Cossa/MBN/Danielson, etc.) for a higher level player to continue the rebuild? IF Yzerman is still confident in this rebuild under different player leadership that is. Not saying this is worth exploring but anything is possible.
If we have to push back 2 years. Probably no point in keeping Debrincat and Faulk at the trade deadline.
Drysdale and Zegras for Larkin and Cossa?
Reality is he “should” got for a younger C to grow with Raymond/Seider (and hopefully DeBrincat) still.
My fear is the whole were so close – they really arent.

No one serious is proposing we're gonna get McDavid or Makar or anything like that… but if the return isn't what Stevie wants, he's content to just sit on Larkin til he gets it. So unless Yzerman wants to Ken Holland this team, put this idea of a bunch of bums and magic beans as a return out of mind.
