The conversation shifts to offseason priorities, including Jason Robertson’s contract negotiations and the tough calls facing GM Jim Nill. Should the Stars pay top dollar for Robertson or risk losing core depth? Plus, they dissect what the Stars’ identity must become to compete with the likes of the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche.

  1. Gavin, you are out of touch. Brad Alberts is just covering and trying to deflect. Nobody is talking about the handshake deals that the Stars had gone away when Cuban left. I am so mad. The Dallas committee to keep them have done a ton. You don't feel bad for anyone this gives you more content to talk about. ticket prices have been soaring in hope to keep a winning team. I am going to start chanting Plano Stars and the game. They owe us a cup before they move.

  2. Gavin @ 33:30 minutes. Why isn't the physical play sustainable? Are you kidding me? The Stars don't have the personnel. A tiger isn't going to change it's stripes. The players are who they are. We have a bunch of finesse players with very little grit or toughness. They get pushed around more often than not. Very few of them will push back. We are missing a few of those types of skilled yet tough players (frowards) that all championship contenders have. I never for one moment thought the Stars were contenders. They made it work in the regular season, but I predicted the Wild in 6 before the series started. I love the Stars but hate the direction we are going. Perpetual regular season greatness but not much to give in the playoffs.

  3. There's still time to move Harley before the Nill Made Contract kicks in, and he could bring an absolute haul, and he's a bit redundant with Heiskanen on the left. Love Harley, but moving him could help the team a lot.

  4. As far as can they do it if they run it back…. After watching this post season, I really start to think health and injuries, the excuse Dallas management gave, actually holds a lot of water for me. Wild lost all the games where a certain player didn't play. Colorado and Makar. Vegas and Wild Bill. Carolina and Andersen. Contenders that had one player get hurt enough that he caused them loses. It's hard not to feel that Roope and Lundquist make a huge difference against the Wild. And obviously execution. The team in the playoffs that won was the team that best executed their brand of hockey.

  5. We’ve heard this crap before about all these hotels and restaurants are gonna pop up around all these venues. How many hotels and restaurants popped up around TEXAS Stadium around the Grand Prairie horse track if it weren’t for downtown Dallas, so I wouldn’t have been any hotels and restaurants there we’re already there even in Arlington my God the city had to build the hotel all I’m saying is you can move up to Plano but that doesn’t mean you’re gonna drag all these people to come in there and spend all these billions of dollars to build all these facilities that the stars things are coming and they couldn’t do over the Dallas Cowboys are dang you ain’t gonna do over the Dallas Stars
