  1. Can't Celebrini ask for a % of the cap? Wouldn't he be better off inking an 8-year deal for 15% of the cap every year? This would give him upside potential and the Sharks cost certainty.

  2. My 2 cents – Mack is the alpha dog here and no doubt he deserves big bucks for his talent/work but I would be dead on the floor if he gets greedy. Just from observing him I imagine he knows the value of the great team and what it takes to build one. So in my mind he would want decent cash left for Smitty, Misa and others that follow. Bridge deal 5 x12 per season, possibly if no long term offered to Smith this off season. Long term 8× 16-17 per season. Nobody can predict what the future holds re injuries so everyone takes a risk here but I trust in hockey gods now more than ever. Celebrini, Smith and the playoffs in about 2 seasons. Cup to follow soon after.
