1. I actually think that the fact they are taking their time with this shows they are doing things sensibly. If Cassidy is the main target great on them for showing patience

2. Dallas Eakins is a joke. A fail by this management team IF they are considering a lame coach like that. Same goes with Roy, not quite as lame but lame nonetheless. Roy has shown his defensive side of the puck is just as bad as Berube. Berube poor defensive side was only masked first year from top of class goaltending the team got.

   The best move is Cassidy as head coach, Pavelski as assistance coach.

12. I think hockey teams in general move on from coaches too quickly. Yes it typically improves immediate performance, but i think giving a guy a predictable roster over many years is going to help win the cup in the long term. It could also calcify the team i get that but thats when you would move on.

13. Kelly McCrimmon rarely if ever does anything business wise during the playoffs unless it helps us win the cup (like bringing Torts in). Cassidy should know that by now. I’m guessing once the playoffs are over Cassidy will be talking to Toronto. But it could always be worse guys. What if you were Edmonton and bringing in Babcock?

16. Ugh… Cassidy, Tortorella, Laviolette, Roy, Babcock, Keenan, Burke, Wilson. Bluster. The Leafs need a coach who is progressive and able to provide a balance between encouraging veterans to perform at the highest level and teaching rookies how to grow into the game. They need to establish a culture of success and play to win.

17. From a business stand point it makes no sense not to release Cassidy. Either he is a great coach you don't want your rivals to have. In which case, why did you fire him? Or he isn't that great and you are keeping him on payroll for spite and throwing away money.
