  1. no matter how you try to spin it, $11.6m for 45 and 51 points is not good. yeah in another 5-10 years maybe it'll be the norm. but when he signed it and currently, it's a bad contract. and paying an older 60sih point player $11-13m is just as bad. so what is jack hughes going to get on his next contract? $20m? lmao.

  2. To me you can't compare these players. Hischier is a great two way player who does not fall down very much if ever and can play hard minutes and can be put in most situations where Petey is still mostly a perimeter and very soft player. Nico earned his money while Vancouver gambled on Petey. They took a couple elements from the team and his game disappeared. Not a mystery either. Other elements allowed him to play better and they took it away. Hiscier did not need the security as much as EP40. Vastly stronger player. Without those elements Petey will languish. As Boeser to. Overpaid and not effective players. Who are the blue chipper players on the team?

  3. It's less about the contract for me since they've announced the rebuild. It's about starting fresh, the Hughes Pettersson Miller era is over. Move on and let both sides just reset.
