3x Super Bowl Champ Mecole Hardman on game-winning catch from Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce leadership, Taylor Swift & why he really left the Jets mid season!
When the Kansas City Chiefs scored the winning touchdown in Super Bowl 58, all eyes were on one player who hauled in the catch for the championship.
That player was Mecole Hardman, but he has no recollection of the minutes after. The three-time Super Bowl champ sat down with Ryan, Channing and Fred to talk about the game and his career leading up to it.
Only 25 years old, Mecole has already faced his fair share of adversity while in the NFL. Whether it was a short stint with the Jets that didn’t end on the best terms or five days spent stuck in bed when he was diagnosed with osteitis pubis, Hardman has had to beat several odds.
Yet his big plays in the big games seem to make it all worth it. The Chiefs were a team surrounded by noise all season, yet Hardman talks about how Travis Kelce and Pat Mahomes were able to help pull everyone together in crucial moments.
He may be a free agent this offseason, but Hardman has already found more success since being drafted in 2019 than many players get in their careers.
With a son in his family and an empathetic perspective on life having worked with special needs children, Mecole expressed with the guys his gratitude for the positions he has been placed in.
A fumble or a drop hasn’t defined his career thus far, winning has, and Mecole Hardman has proven that he will always find a way to bounce back.
New episodes drop on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. ET and Fridays at 3:30 p.m ET on YouTube, with audio available on all streaming platforms including Apple, Spotify and Amazon.

i know i watched this late but im a huge kc fan and mecole is the pope. love ya hero,
Glad mecole got some redemption. He learned a valuable lesson chasing every possible dollar he could get
As a Chiefs fan– this was really cool to hear. The Chiefs are always very hush hush in terms of giving details about injuries. They keep all the details close to the vest, and dont ever give the fans or even the media covering the team, much info to work with.. i knew about a very VERY vague groin/pelvic injury. Never did i hear any of these details, and i follow the team religiously. Mecole giving all the full details about this paints a much clearer picture. Really cool to listen to this– even though it was a rough time for him personally
OHMYGOODNESS, Mecole man, that was eloquent football-ese for us Chiefs fans. We all nearly cried in unison when you came back. Then we ALL DID CRY IN UNISON WHEN YOU caught a 3 yard pass. Thank you, sir.
Hey guys Thank you! What a fun look into the Chiefs and one of its big play stars. Andy has his Fantasy Football team at last!
Mecole ❤
He’s coming back!
Just watch
LOL Mecole you got invited into being a Swifty LOL gotta love Mecole KC all day Baby!
Solid good dude.
We can always count on Channing for the $ex questions 🤣
Love Mecole. Great guy. ❤🎉
Changed the rules for Allen and the competition and yet the 49ers were still clueless.
Next time keep the baby
I always like Cole but now I admire and respect him so much.
A great example of a man who take no for an answer. Thank you for inspiring me
These three dudes are perfect together .. man, JC, sometimes I'm like can a brotha move on? Can a brotha be happy, JC…lol. Then you got Freddie T. Who is actually asking questions that could go either way…but Chandler?!? We know we about to crack the hell up ..this dude is the best at funny shock…love these dudes…keep it up
This was the one
OMG. Mecole said it perfectly! They had too many egos in the locker room, they weren’t doing it right. Nobody was acting right. Welcome to what makes Andy Reid a phenomenal coach able to take multiple players on multiple teams to the Super Bowl. It’s team mentality, it’s having a standard of conduct, expectation, leadership and accountability. Going to another team has to be a future shock. And for him to come back and be welcomed back says so much. And then catching the game winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. Any team can win on any given Sunday, but the Chiefs will be in the conversation any time they show up because they ARE a team.
Amazing podcast. So inspiring! Thank you for having mecole on!
Damn good dawg! Mecole been him since UGA days!
Big UPS to Mecole bro. Hope how he sounds on this podcast is how he really is. He sounds like a truly grateful and genuine legit dude
Mecole is a gift to humanity! What a beautiful person!
The things he is wearing are a major distraction to who he really is. Unfortunate that he did not think he was great on his own without the football and his rings.
10:08 and the Jets continue the same til this day smh. This man going back to KC is the absolute best thing that couldve happened for him. Imagine if he was still on the Jets. You can have all the talent in the world, but you still need to make the right decisions. KC definitely did when they got this guy back!
I got to work with Mecole and the team for a while he is a cool dude
I wonder how many off the chain potential mvp players are just on the wrong team with the wrong coaching staff, and we'll / they'll never know because of it. Makes me think of saquon when he went to Eagles. Kinda sad.
I might not be able to understand him but I absolutely adore his personality ❤❤
Freddy T.. watched a video of the 100 greatest runs and saw you crack a 90 over 1/2 a team for the jags
Those were the days
Don't forget
I thoroughly enjoy your program.

The time you dedicate to each segment and the probing questions you ask make it the best talk-based program I’ve ever seen.
