Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings consistently fell short of expectations in his tenure with the franchise and his lack of scoring down the stretch of seasons is a big factor why. Where is the NHL expert?
Yzerman has created a toxic environment in the Red Wings organization and Larkin has been contaminated by this…
What team wants a toxic former captain who has shown that he can go against the GM?
This potential trade will bring far less than Detroit fans are looking for… unless they find someone desperate enough to take him.
Larkin is a 2C at best… an aging 2C.
Remember you said, “Lark is not a 1c.” When it comes to what the Red Wings get back in a trade…
Just is still out imo on drafting.
Seider, Raymond and Edvinsson are pretty solid.
Kasper, Cossa and Danielson will be everyday NHLers but won’t be impact guys like we want them to be.
We still don’t know on Bear, ASP, MBN, Plante and Augustine
Free agency:
Poor results but I also don’t think Yzerman has had a chance at the Free Agency high end players we like to think he had a chance at
In the end – who cares.
This team needed to change either way and this is probably the path he needs to go if Yzerman wanted to too or not.
What player doesn't want to win a cup? Every player wants to win. He's NOT special or generational. Unfortunate he thinks he a top tier player. Good but NOT great! Grow up and stop being a baby.
Larkin is a loser for sure but it's hilarious to be as confident as these guys are while being so easily proven wrong. 5 centers reached 100 points this year.
Dylan Larkin is “a Legend in His Own Mind”
Who are the 100pt C on Carolina and Vegas?
YOU spend a decade on a line with non-entities like NIelsen, Abdelkater, Cleary and Miller, then tell me how long YOU could achieve your peak performance,
Larkin is Robin and thinks he’s Batman
Thank you Larks. Ignore these benders on this show. They don’t know hockey, just a bunch of dusters.

Waaaaaaaaah! I’ve never seen more butt hurt babies in my life. You act like Dylan Larkin stole your baby. If Larkin sucks so much, why are you so upset he’s leaving. Here’s a stat for you, no GM in NHL history has kept his job without making the playoffs for as long as Yzerman. Also, last I checked hockey is a team sport, blaming one player for this teams failures is asinine. Even if Larkin was the greatest player in history, this team would still suck. He is a number 2 center, and whose fault is it that they haven’t gotten anyone better?
Am I missing something? Where is the expert? The title said expert? Unless Joy (Neal) behar is an expert now?
always tough too when you have a spartan or wolverine as your pivotal player. going to divide the fanbase initially. no more hometown captains imo. you don't see it very often in pro sports. pressure is immense and this kid wasn't a 1c. personally see him as a scoring winger with a playmaking center. great at faceoffs when they kick out.
Didn’t Detroit have the easiest first half schedule? Isn’t that why they were no. 1? And when their schedule got tougher in the second half they faltered.
From the beginning Larkin didn't earn the C. He was placed there because he was the best we had at the time. Soft-spoken leader is an oxymoron
Larkin is gone. I have been a Red Wing fan since 1971 and I am tired of not winning. For fux sake, this is not the pre Russian Five years. Dump the chump.
Dylan Larkin was the problem we all wanted to ignore. Hes wayyy to weak to be a leader…
Holland drafted Larkin, not yzerman. Also yzermans draft picks have been mostly good for where he’s drafted. He hasn’t had one top 2 or three pick.
Max plante hobey baker winner. Back to back top goalies in college in Augustine. Top end goalie in ahl and top czech league Postava. Mbn looked like a stud in ahl around real talent and threw a good amount of hits. Won puck battles. Lombardi looks nhl ready. Pellika looks like a high end offensive dman just gota deal with his flaws. Mazur looks like good just had a lot of injuries. , Raymond and seider are excellent draft picks. Edvinson has alot of potential. Kaspar we don’t know.
Danielson is his worst pick. And finnie was a great 7th round find.
Larkin can't be a No. 1 center, scoring 10% of his goals for the season in one game – in April.
I would love your examples of players drafted below our picks that turned out so much better, don't blame Yzerman because we have been shafted with bad draft picks. No player should accept a lot less money by going to Canada. The NHL has a tax problem that needs to be addressed before this gets outta hand any further.
