Toronto has… probably the best goaltending to trade out there. Edmonton management… is incompetent. If I’m Toronto I am calling them every day trying to pry Savoie (2C upside young player) from them.
When you trade, you take advantage of teams that are desperate for an upgrade trading from a position of strength. Edmonton doesn’t need a 2C.
Toronto also has elite LW depth (excess). We know what Toronto needs. They don’t need two top line LWs. They need a number one D man. Toronto invited Verheoff to Toronto post combine. I was able to do some digging and apparently a small number of prospects were invited. Chicago is offering their 4th overall. Get a good enough package coming back to Toronto and make it happen.
I don't like the fact that every where Cassidy goes his players can't wait till he is fired .. Isn't he better suited for a vetern group ?

Games I went to Groulx was best forward on the ice. Aggressive and good hockey sense. He didn't get the Cowan ice time but when he was out there made an impact
6 Legit NHLs in Leafs mix from Marlies: Cowan, Groulx, Danford, Villenueve, Acktyamov and Hildeby. Others could make it too at some point, but those are the best of the mix.
Leafs may still be watching Gruden but no bugging him no about Leafs job because they want his head focused on Calder Cup.
