Sharks better take chase reid lol. Don't be like an Edmonton with generational forwards with no defense.
If the Sharks trade the #2 pick to Vancouver for #3 and Tom Willander, then the Sharks still get Reid. If the Sharks trade the #2 to Chicago for #4 and Sam Rinzell, then the Sharks still get Reid. So the only reason Vancouver would move up would be to secure Stenberg. To make sure someone else doesn't jump ahead. I imagine Chicago would love to pair Stenberg with Bedard.
If only dumping a non-star veteran was enough to move up to #2….Canucks fans are delusional lol.

JD has been pushing for Reid since they won the second overall pick. Taking Reid is a reach and no one argues that, they only argue by how much.
Stenberg is the pick at 2. The draft is for adding talent and the most projectable prospect which is Stenberg.
If Vancouver wants Stenberg we will trade you the second overall for the third overall and Willander.
And just a note Reid has only played against fellow 18 year olds. Wait until he plays in the NCAA and watch his numbers plummet.
He’s most likely development is a second pair defenseman.
I would rather a top six and most likely top line impact winger thank you. GMMG picks BPA regardless of position and the BPA will either be Stenberg or McKenna.
JD Young has zero knowledge of the Sharks. He indirectly calls Mike Grier a coward for not trading down. He represents 20% of the fan base that wants defenseman. The guest on his show have more knowledge than him. His logic would draft Levshunov over Celebrini.
If the Sharks are indeed taking Reid they should trade the #2 pick to no later than to the 4th pick.

We don’t need to lose our young players/ no trades. We just have to accept that the league has a motive to constantly take generational or cornerstone players from the Canucks if they knew that we were able to draft Hughes they would have fixed the lottery to drop us further from him and if we suck again this season I’m sure they will screw Vancouver in the lottery again. How about we devote a whole locked on Canucks episode to the astronomical odds that we overcome to never pick first
