You were enforcer nothing more what did you expect
Nobody wanted him in the game.
How about a decent pension. The NHL and the owners were making tens of millions off of these guys. They were paid a pittance in the 60's and 70"s most players had to work a summer job just to live.
Loved it when Robinson beat him like a rented mule
I grew up worshipping the memory of the Broad Street Bullies. I was too young to appreciate that team, but all kids my age knew of them. I met Dave in 95 and he wasn’t very friendly. I was a little disappointed in the experience because I was expecting someone maybe a little pleasant or gregarious but instead I just got mr moody. Oh well, still respect what he sacrificed for those 2 Cups. With so little tv options back when he retired, there weren’t many options for a fighter to stay involved in the game in some capacity.
Great person
$100,000 in 1980 is $430,000 in todays money.
Flyer cups remain a shitstain on the glorious game.
So whose problem is it? He has a hockey pension and SS. Grow up ..
50 year Rangers fan here. I wish you well Dave and hope you are doing OK now.
