  1. No… the bad publicity won't be trumped at all. This would spell the end of the McDrai era, and the end of at least this one fan. That's for sure. Upper management needs to go NOW!!! The decisions coming out of there the last year have been bad after bad… and solving their bungled coaching decision with and even worse decision just because they're desperate is beyond crazy… Just put Coffee in as interim coach until a suitable coach comes around… This isn't rocket science.

  2. This would be quite possibly the worst move ever with a Canadian NHL hockey team.. it wouldn't make the Vancouver Canucks look like a well-run organization

  3. If they hire this POS, the backlash will be immeasurable. And rightfully so! They all must’ve lost control of their frontal lobes! Maybe he’s run out of phones to investigate… Seriously, hockey has passed him by. These younger players no longer want the kind of browbeating coach disguised as a kind and caring mentor. Please please please Oilers rethink this very bad potential decision.

  4. Perfect example of; Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do it. Oilers had the choice to leave it be on a guy who literally himself resigned from coaching, and hasn't coached a NHL game in over 7 years, or they could enable a manipulative, abusive, bully. They chose the latter.

Just spits in the face of teams and players that have spoken about abuse.

  5. The weakest part of the team remains the management. Was Ken Holland perfect? No, but he was generally competent. He build up the team;s depth including with young players like MCLeod, Holloway, and Broberg. The longer its been since Ken Holland's departure and the more time the organization is under Jackson's leadership, the worse it gets.
