  1. Stunned at how he has been playing, was he holding back? Was he being held back? Was he playing with core players who just didn’t care anymore, Mitch is not the first with Leaf players leaving or moved to another team only to see huge success.

  2. When will we adress the elephant in the room.
What is it never was Marner.

What if it was the week / wrongly built team around him. The mentality of the team / organization.

Just look at Vegas 4 lines.
Skill AND grit. Roll player's that doeas whatever it takes.

  3. I remember a random regular season game this year where Mitch had a bad game and the knights went on a skid. A leafs fan commented on this IG Video about it and said “oh no what happened, thought he was supposed to bring you to the promised land. Now your gonna miss the playoffs . Mitch was always trash”

Wherever that fan is, and then hundreds of people that liked that commentc I really hope your still watching hockey

  4. Love watching Marner do so well, especially because of how painfully whiny you guys were about him last week. Jessie in particular was being quite the sook

  5. Last time I saw playoff play like Marner showed last night would probably be from Wayne Gretzky. It was fun to watch but maybe not so fun for Leaf fans. But hockey can be a very testy sport as we all know because remember, even Gretzky got traded as did Marner. I say Vegas should savor last night's win/near miss but keep in mind that this thing isn't over yet. When the Canes can be out played and out scored for 2 and a half periods and still force a double overtime, Vegas should be a little worried, not a lot but a little. As for the Leafs, fans can hope that this is the last hard lesson learned but let's just wait and see.

  6. I mean, this is karma for the leafs fans. This is great, im loving this. Vegas has not won the cup yet and leafs fans are already going nuts. This is what happens when you pay 4 people money instead of the rest of the FREAKING TEAM!

  7. Steve, hate to break it to you, but grandchildren of our grandchildren will still "Use the truth to lie" (C) about the brilliance of Maple Leafs trading Mitch Marner away.

  8. Leafs-Bruins last Gm 7 pulled 8.7m viewers. Gm 2 of the thus SCF pull 4.7m. Marner still hasn't played on a bigger stage than the biggest games with the leafs. Helps he's decided to play completely different offensively while not under a once in century calamity that kept the cap flat.

I think I might actually be over the NHL broadly purely based on their media approach. we have alternatives now.

If you fact check this please provide sources as I couldn't figure it out with composite AI data. Thanks.

Ps. I hate this more than STL-BOS for opposite reasons. That prior series was garbage hockey with a team winning that was generally bad for sport. This series is just all the storyline of pain

  9. Problem was marner in Toronto was always trying to make the pass to feed Matthew's instead of making the play in Vegas he makes the pass to feed but half the time hes making the play thats why hes doing so well maybe he should have done that in Toronto and not worry about making Matthew's the superstar

  10. Giving Marner the benefit of the doubt, perhaps his refusal of the trade to Carolina was based on believing that he, John, Auston, and Morgan could make a better playoff run than they had the previous year.
The Mitch Marner that blew up on his team mates, on the bench, to "Wake the f*&k up!" doesn't seem like someone who'd checked out on the team.

  11. It has nothing to do with the team around him, it is that Vegas Golden Knight culture and living is 1000% better than Toronto for pretty much any player on earth

  12. Don't be silly Marner doesn't score in the playoffs. lol. Look bottom line here is: Babcock was a hockey genius. What did he do from day one? Put Marner on the second line because he's a smaller player and he'll thrive on the second line when he's not being checked by the other team's top line. Where does Vegas have Marner? On the second line. What is Marner doing? thriving! I rest my case.

  13. I’ve been a fan for a few years of the VGK. Can someone tell me the truth was there any bad calls against them last night? I feel like there was but every time I feel there is one they explained it away

  14. I used to dislike Marner quite a bit. After watching him on the Knights, I’ve come to the conclusion that this guy isn’t so bad after all. It’s quite something what that Leafs jersey does to a players reputation
