  1. If you keep him here whether he has the C or not it's going to create more problems he's clearly not happy and to your point on best for the redwings…they aren't the lighting with brayden point…stupid comparison. this locker room was already fractured and if you keep larkin watch this implode even more and it will get UGLY fast.

  2. The last 3 years. Larkin played terribly in the last month. When your the captain. You need to play your best at the end month. 8 more wins in the last 2 years maybe the 3rd year. Detroit in the playoffs..

  3. The only reason they were in 1st is because Gibson was way over performing and they were relying on the power play. That’s usually what happens when you steal games, it’s not sustainable.

  4. Neal made excuses for Larkin for so long, now he is finally critical of him? I stopped watching the clips of this show because I could not take them seriously anymore. Bunch of Larkin cucks and they defended him no matter how bad he was.

  5. Honestly, I just had this thought deep down when I woke up today… is Nate Danielson good enough to potentially be our next 30+ goal scorer? What if he replaces Larkin and is BETTER? There's still so much time and a lot of unkowns, but I think there's a chance he makes a huge splash this year and bolsters the lineup.

  6. I would really like for the wings to try and get Gavin McKenna, for a package deal. Provides a great fix to the 1C problem, and is a straight upgrade to Larkin.

  7. We weren't going anywhere with him I'll be excited if they knock it down to the studs/ I'm not boredstarting with getting one of this year #1 thru 3 picks. We should be able to get a good deal back for cat and even Stevie Why the Faulk. Wouldn't mind keeping Cat but if we can get a haul let's do it i just don't know if Stevie the man to build this team sure wish we had little ball of hate Verbeek

  8. Larking would make a for a good 2-C – on Detroit, too. He does not demonstrate the ability to ignite the team. Agree that Stevie I should take his time to get the right deal, and meanwhile try to make a deal for a 1C – upgraded from searching for a 2C. This really could be good in the long play. (Larkin has lost perspective of what his job is).

  9. After 3 yrs of me screaming for larkin to be traded, FINALLY! Yzerman FINALLY woke up and realized THEYLL NEVER WIN WITH LARKIN AS YOUR 1C , and even if they could he will be damn near 35 before this ASS team even sniffs competing in a playoff series !

  10. You have to wonder if Larkin has been demotivated for at least the past two seasons, if not more. We had the comments about the lack of trade activity and now a trade request. Setting aside the comments about five on five scoring, when you look at our collapses and inconsistent play in the context of a demotivated captain, a lot of this starts to make a lot of sense. There are a good deal of teams in our league that go through rough spells but locker room spirit is going to bring many through that. And many of these teams are not on paper the best in terms of roster construction. Like many have said, he should have gone years ago but either Yzerman didn’t want pull the trigger or Larkin wasn’t big enough to say that standards had slipped. It’s been a slow death to get to this point. I just hope everyone can make the best of it.

  11. Sounds way too much like entitled Leaf fans bitching about Marner. Who left the GTA behind & is killing it. The obvious issue is guys like Larkin & Hughes had fun being on a winning team at the Olympics, & put underachieving teams on notice. Steve Y hasn't done crap in Detroit as a GM, & needs to make the best deal possible. Because seriously, his playing legacy is the only thing buying him time right now in his current position. If a trade does go down, it will be a western team, & most likely Minnesota with all the professional friendships Larkin has there. Good luck to you in Detroit, you're gonna need it…

  12. This was a fun podcast. I would say let him suffer another year, but he's almost 30 and he's injury prone. Yzerman needs to pick a path. He can partly reset the rebuild bringing in younger support around Seider and Raymond or continue or build a playoff team now. I would partly reset even though the fan base will be angry. Time to bring up the prospect pool and some young talent.

  13. In regards to what Justin said about them getting into the playoffs and getting beat we wouldn’t have cared bc now we have a building block to go on now you can start building the blocks where to go from there I want to maximize this trade as much as possible

  14. I looked up that stats of a few Stanley cup winning teams I even took the match up this year too just to see how many players were drafted by their teams they’re playing on now Carolina 4 Vegas 1 or 2 Florida on their back to back only 4 it shows we need to get creative and stop holding back

  15. I never liked his attitude. The stuff on Instagram at the Olympics. The constant March collapses. Then you had Seider act accountable and Dylan a crybaby as usual at locker clean ups.

Get this soft vulnerable selfish man out of the room asap. No more March collapses under his leadership thank the lord.
