  1. Dach like Laine still has some “on paper” value to a new organization.. the what if factor might allow dach to become a bit of a trade sweetener…

  2. Larkin for Kapanen, Reinbacher and our late first round pick, as well as maybe another prospect like Beck or whoever else the Wings need to fill out their roster.

  3. I know you guys think Larkin to Montreal is a thing. I want to point out Larkin to Toronto is a thing too. Here is the take.

Austin Matthews wants his own team. He doesn't want to join another team where its their team but not his. Toronto is his team. He is the main star there. But he wants a stronger supporting cast. He can force Toronto to trade for Larkin by giving up the first over all pick. Both Austin and Dylan won gold together and this would just be the first domino that Matthews would take to build his team. He is going to go after Brady Tkachuk in Ottawa and bring the third piece of the gold medal winning team to Toronto.

Remember guys, these guys talk to each other. They have discords where they hang out and talk about teams how teams treat free agents. If Toronto gives Austin all the leeway to make changes to the roster. He is getting Larkin and bringing him to the Leafs. It would also piss Steve Dangle off and I guess that would be a side benefit since Dangle wants to draft McKenna and hates the old boys club that Austin would create. But that is what is going to happen.

  4. Larkin could be a plus for the Habs but not giving Hage or Zarovski for him, they would be killing ou rebuild with young talent. I would give them Reinbacker or Xjakej Dach and another prospect or a first round pick !

  5. Larkin would be good, but unfortunately, the Wings are in the same Division as the Habs. It wouldnt make any sense for the Wings to trade him to the Habs – and its not like they will give him away so they'd want a ton for him. Plus, it would make even less sense for the Habs to over pay a team in their own division to get him.

  6. Dont wanna face Gally so send him to the west coast? He’s washed up and is a selfish prick. He should know his place as an old player who can stick around as a character guy for the team, but he ISNT a character guy it seems. Bye Gally! You’re done.

  7. Forget Larkin and empty the farm for Mcdavid. Why do we need a 30 year old centre? He isn't even that good. I only get excited for a top of the line guy!

  8. I don't think Larkin is a great fit. Regardless of if he's a good fit or not, Detroit is also struggling at C and wants to make playoffs so they would need a decent center coming back, so I can't see it.

  9. Listen Montreal needs and wants to make a block buster trade. Go after the best player in the NHL
Edmonton is going to lose McDavid after his contract ends. Don't wait for other teams to get in the race. So they want to get something for him.
Montreal needs to strike now. Unfortunately we have to give up a good proven player. How many Montreal fans would not like 97 on the team? None! This would be a lottery win.
    Conner McDavid to Montreal
    Nick Suzuki
    Reinbacher
    Monty
Dach to play with his brother.
    1st or 2nd rounder included.
Imagine McDavid making Slav or Demidov into a Draisaitl. Setting up Caulfield! PP. entries solved. Thoughts?

  10. I like Larkin, but if Hischier is available and willing to sign an extension with the Habs, he'd be my prime target. Apparently, he is also looking to move on, and there is just one year left on his deal before he becomes a UFA. So the cost to acquire Hischier would be much more digestible than that for Larkin or Robert Thomas. I feel pretty confident that Montreal will acquire one of those guys this Summer.
